Planet Bahá'í is a private noncommercial Web site. It is neither owned nor operated by any institution or agency of the Bahá'í Faith. Our goal is to bring you information and resources related to the Bahá'í Faith. In order to achieve this goal, we offer services that require you to provide some information about yourself. Some of these services are provided by third parties. This privacy policy covers information collected by Planet Bahá'í and not that collected by third parties.

What information does Planet Bahá'í collect?

When you create an account with us, you are asked to provide a user ID and password. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we ask you to provide us with your email address. We do not require you to provide any other information. We may give you the option of providing additional information in order to build a user profile. However, providing such information is entirely at your discretion.

What do you do with this information?

We use your email address to send the newsletters that you have requested. In addition, we may on occasion send you announcements about our services. We will not under any circumstances sell or intentionally give your email address to anyone outside of Planet Bahá'í. In the future, we may add social networking features to our site, and these may make some of your profile information available to other users of Planet Bahá'í. However, we will always give you control over what information is publicly available.

What about these third-party service providers?

The Planet Bahá'í forum and chat room are provided by Delphi Forums. In order to participate in our forum, you must establish an account with Delphi. The information collected by Delphi is covered by the Delphi Privacy Policy. Planet Bahá'í has neither access to nor control over this information.
